Kauai Trip: Day 2 {November 11, 2016}

 I can't imagine a better way to start our first full day in Kauai than to watch the sunrise over the water just a few hundred feet from our room.

 Oh... look chickens!!!

We stopped in a little shopping center to get some drinks at Starbucks. We walked around for a little bit and found this art gallery featuring some pretty impressive talent.

The Spouting Horn
According to the map we had it reads, the "waves force air out of an opening in a lava tube, producing strange sounds while spray is forced out of another opening close by." Well we didn't get to expeirence that!
There were a bunch of street vendors near the Spouting Horn selling all sorts of touristy trinkets. Jared found this awesome wooden frog for Ethan. It's surprisingly cool, you can rub the stick along the spine of the frog and it makes a croaking sound.
 Afterwards we went Lappert's Hawaii for delicious icecream. Neither one of us can remember what flavor we got but it did have macadamia nuts and carmel.

The gang!
The struggle was real to not want to take pictures of every flower, plant, and animal... and don't worry Jared did.  {Hawaiian Hibiscus}
